One of my g.g.grandfathers was John (Jack)Charles Cole married Cuzzie Anderson(b. abt 1760 d. abt1833). He was christened 1760 in Buncombe Co, N.C. and died 1862 Lawrence Co, Ky. His father was Jack(John)Cole. We are mostly Cherokee indian originating formBuncombe(Buscombe)Co.and Lincoln Co, N.C, Lee Co.,VA and cumberland mtn area in Tenn. Stay with the boards, there are people who are very knowledgeable about the Coles since they are a large family and fought in the wars to settle Magoffin Co and surrounding areas in the Revolutionary, French and Indian and the Civil War.
