I recently learned my mother was once married to Mr. Billy Wayne Coleman from Compton, CA. He was in the Navy in 1946, met and married my mother, Cynthia Marie DiLallo, in Pittsfield, MA in 1946 and from there we have no idea what happened to him. Our mother then went on to marry my father, also in the Navy, sometime in 1949. It is possible my brother is the son of Mr. Coleman and we would like to find some answers. We understand why our mother felt it necessary to hide a possible divorce but what is also possible is Mr. Coleman did not survive WWII or has since died. In any event our brother would like an opportunity to met the Colemans that could possibly be his family. If you have any information with regard to this information, please reply.
We have seen the newspaper article about their engagement, found a marriage certificate to our father dated some 3 years later than what we thought they were married and recently been given the first wedding pictures we have ever seen, never even discussed the possibility and the groom was not our father. We are sure this is factual but records have not been made public yet in either state, MA or CA; for the years needed to search.
Are you my brothers family
