My family come from the Colls of Gola Island. I am not personally intelligent in the history or the family tree of the Coll family but my sister has taken a great interest and has built up a "reasonable knowledge" of the Coll clan from Gweedore in the last few years. My surname is Doherty and my mother was a Coll from Gola Island. I will certainly ask her if she has any knowledge of your family.
What I am aware of is that we did have close relatives of the name "Diver" and we believe we are related to Vince Colls family also. So I do believe we are related in some way.
