you might investigate eastern tenessee, near greeneville. there is an old cemetery there with collettes burried after the old homestead that was a land grant from the revolution was taken. (the original graves, pre about 1820, were on the homestead in chuckey and is where the david crocket park is located.) however, the cemetary in question has several collette women with middle name elsie or some variant thereof. from there the familly moved both south and west after 1865.
