Hello,
I've been researching Mary Collyer who married Lewis Mordaunt and was my 7G Grandmother. She wasthe daughter of Lt-Col. Thomas Collier, Governor of Jersey from 1696-15.

I believe his arms (Sable, a cross patée fitchée, or. Crest a cross as in the arms) are carved on Elizabeth Castle - I think they are the same as those of the Collier family of Blockley, Worcestershire.

Does anyone have any information about this family? The name of Mary Collier's mother, for example? Thomas Collier's parents? Anything?

I'd be most grateful for help.

Regards,
Jamie Vans.
