The info I have on Benjamin Collier is this:

Benjamin Collier II, born 1785 in Charlotte Co, VA. His parents were Benjamin Collier I, born 1760 in Charlotte Co, VA and Sarah Gained Collier (a cousin), daughter of John Collier. She dies prior to 1806.

Benjamin II left VA and went to Twiggs Co, GA 1806-07. He married Margaret Lane (1st) and they had nine children, one of whom is William Durron, my gg-grandfather.

They moved from Twiggs Co to Early Co. Benjamin II was one of the founders of the rown of Blakely, GA.

Around 1849, most of Benjamin's children moved to Tyler Co, Texas. One of William Durron's sons was Abner Belcher Collier, my great-grandfather. He married Abbie Morris Ralph. They had 8 children: (1) Ina, (2)infant boy died @ birth (3) Nannie Lee (my grandmother), (4) Era, (5) Ralph Cecil, (6) Grady, (7) Burrell Dee, and (8) Garland, killed in Holland in WWII.

As you see, my line migrated from VA-GA to Texas.

Benjamin Collier I was the son of Captain Thomas Collier, born 1/17/1740 in Hanover Co, VA. and Mary Frances Dabney.

Hope this might help fill in some gaps for you. Good luck in your search.

Debbie
