I wonder if this H. E. Collingham is the Herbert Eugene you mentioned. H. E. Collingham (born about 1854 in Dane Co., Wisconsin) married Barbara Shugart 1881 in Dillon Twp., Tazewell Co., Illinois (his second marriage). Their residence was Delavan. His parents were shown as W. C. Collingham and Mary E. Hazzard. I am interested in descendants of H. E. and Barbara. Thanks, Mary

Hi, I just checked Collingham on WorldConnect. I am descended from Isaac Shugart's younger brother Edom (b. 2 April 1831 Illinois), so we are cousins of some sort. I have a little more information on Isaac and Elizabeth (DeVore) Shugart if you are interested. Regards, Mary

I have his parents as being william and mary (housel) collingham. not sure of what sibling it would be right off hand i would say it would have been john franklin collingham.

I found the following information in the December 21-28, 1892 York Republican (York, NE) newspaper regarding Philander A. Collingham.

1. died December 15, 1892 at York, NE (suicide)
2. age 29
3. only survivors mentioned were his mother, who came from Fleming, Colorado after he died, and a brother living 4 miles west of York (no names given for either)
4. Body was put on a train and taken "west" (location not given, but assume Fleming, CO where mother was living)

The following week the newspaper reported that the train was going faster than usual to make up time, and that somehow the coffin and body had fallen off the train. It was believed to have falled off somehwhere near Curtis, NE, but it had not been located as of Dec. 28, 1892.

Does anyone know where he is buried? Or can you confirm who is parents/siblings are?

Martin's mother is Mary Housel. Father is William Charles Collingham b.22 Jan 1827 either Warren or Morris Co., NY. Parents of William C. was William Collingham listed on census of 1830 as Kelliham Margaret Hess. they both d. when children were young. My gt. grandmother was a sister to Wm. C. All I have is that There are four children maybe more I have

John Franklin was born 4-12-1867 at morrison Minn. and died 7-22-1953 at york He married anna Smith (schmidt) they had 12 children.

Lorena married William Zanzig They had four children maybe more.

And the other child I have on Herbert is Harry.

If we are talking of the same Martin Collingham, he only had 2 children. My Grandfather, Charles Raymond, born:May,11,1907-died:April,1987 and Eddie who passed away at the age of 9. I don,t have anymore info. Who was his brother, please.

Hi Sherry. I got your message, and I don't think we have the same dad, but I think all the Collingham's are related somehow. I really would like to talk to you more about it. Do the names Frederick Lee Collingham (he was my dad's dad) or Viva Adell Crittenden (my dad's mom who died in 1941) sound familiar? If not, give me some names, and maybe I'll know who they are. Hi there. I seen that message about Clarance Collingham being someone's dad on here, and that was also my dad's name. I know he had a daughter by a previous relationship, and I'm thinking that maybe she could be my sister that I never got to meet. However, my dad died on April 9, 1985. He was born on July 18, 1938. So if this is my sister, please have her get in touch with me and we'll talk more about this. I can let her know what he was like while he was alive.
