Surnames: Collins, McKibbin, Dunford
Please...can someone help find a William Lewis Collins possibly born in Waco, McLennen County, Texas. I think I found that he might have died also in TX around July 5, 1935. But this is just an educated guess. I believe his father was also named William Lewis Collins. William Lewis Jr. was married to a Nettie Lou McKibbin born in Duke, Greer Co., Oklahoma. Where-as William Lewis Sr. was married to a Lovie Collins born September 26 in Mississippi.
This is all educated guess-work and has not been substantiated yet. But I told my grandmother that I would find out as much about him and his family as I could. As a kid, my grandmother was close to her fathers brothers, but over time lost track of them. She would love to know what ever happened to them.
Talking about the brothers, there names were Ed Collins. Ed spent time in prison possibly in the 19030's. The other brother she remembers was Robert "Bob" Collins. He probably died in the 1930's.
If ANYONE can shed any light, please let me know!!
Thank you,
Rod Mitchell
