My dad was Eric Dowey Colpitts, born in S. Shields. He married a Manx girl, my mum, and lived the rest of his life on the Isle of Man - where I was born. My grandfather and grandmother lived in Goole, Yorkshire (UK), and I have several cousins there.
My father and all Colpitts descendants on the male side have Freemanship of Newcastle (UK) as an hereditary right. (My cousin Anthony Colpitts is freeman).

I'd love to hear from you if you think there's a link...........
Colpitts blacksmith

I am a park ranger naturalist writing a book on the Old Faithful Inn of Yellowstone National Park. A blacksmith with the name of Colpitts made the historic 4 story clock, the massive door hinges and other door hardware during the Inn's construction in winter of 1903/04. I am looking for any info, pictures, or ancestors of this famous artisan that historians know very little about. Please contact me at my email address, or write me at 171 E. River Rd., Emigrant, MT 59047 or call me at (406) 848-7912. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Colpitts Springfield, Ill 1945

Looking for anyone interested in the Colpitts of Springfield, Ill. The names I have are Lula(?) and Ray, Adda, Violet Krieder. They would have been in the area in April 1945. I am not a descendant. I have found some photos at a local antique shop and would love to see them reunited with the family. If anyone knows these names please email me and we'll go from there.
T.James
