Sadly, I have no memories of my great-grandfather, James Polk Colson. I did know his wife, Lucille Mae and spent every summer of my childhood visiting her and my grandfather James Leo in California and then Montana. I believe it was after James Polk died that my grandfather built a small home on his land for his mother Lucille to live on. I know that she and James Polk had many children and were also foster parents to many kids as well.

I do not know much about the lives of James Polk, James Burrel, James Russel, or Aaron Colson but it is my goal to track the Colson line back to their US immigration.

I assume your father was the youngest of James and Mattie's children? My research shows their children as Mabel R(1909), Lola A(1914), Beaulah(1916), James(1918) and Herman(1919). Please share any details that you have and I will do my best to answer any of your questions as well.
