Columbus descendants from Texas

I am trying to locate descendants of Chris & Sarah Columbus who lived in Lavaca,TX. The town's name was later changed to Port Lavaca, TX. They were the parents of: Hubert, Roland or Rolland,William & Eatenton. My grandfather was Roland and he was the father of: Dorothy,Velma,Christopher,Horace,Georgia and David, who was my father. My siblings and I never had the opportunity to meet my grandfather's brothers, only other grandchildren who were unable to help.

C. Columbus, age 15, is listed as a student at the Choctaw Academy in Scott County, Kentucky, 1838.

I am looking for my mothers grandmother. Her name was Ivory Columbus or Ivory Pearl Columbus or Pearl Columbus. I don't know alot about my family history, but am very curious. I was told all of this by my father, Charles Columbus, which does not know a whole lot about the family either. My great grandfather is Clarence Columbus b.1873, d.1967. He had 3 sons; Jack, Ted, Edwell, and 1 daughter, I think her name is Bonnie. Edwell (Ed) was my grandfather. Jack was married to Marguerite, Ted had a daughter named Linda Columbus. Ed had 3 sons, Tom, Charlie, and Dave. Ed may have been born in Canada. Clarence moved to California, that is where he died. If anyone has any information on my family history, please respond.
