Hi yes I have an ancestor William Colvin that came from Co. Antrim in 1818 and his wife Letitia (Smith) and 3 children came 2 years later. they lived in NY for a few years and then moved to Raisin, Lenawee Co., Michigan. I have been trying to find information about them in Ireland. Supposedly their name was changed somewhere along the line from Colville to Colvin. This is per the information I have found by his son James B. Colvin. I have found nobody that is or has any idea of who this branch of Colvin's is. I would love to find out anything you might have on them.
