My maiden name was Combes and I was born in Patchogue NY (LI)in 1964. My father is James Kent Combes (1946 - ) and his father was Adrian James Combes. Adrian passed in 1982. His father, I believe was Samuel Combes. I understand that the family lived in Whitestone, Queens before moving to LI sometime before WWII. Adrian married Delora Murdock in 194? and she is now living in NC.

This is all the information on have on my father's family. I know that my grandfather Adrian was one of 11 children, but because he was estranged from my grandmother shortly after my Aunt Penny was born, he does not have much information on his aunts and uncles.

If you think I may be related to you somehow, please let me know. I do know that my g-grandfather Samuel's wife Grace changed the spelling of the surname from COOMBS to COMBES shortly after they married, at least that is the story.
