Seeking information on ZALMON FLETCHER COMINGS b. 1822 d. 1893 who married ALMIRA FOSTER b. 1832 d. ? They lived in Orangetown (Nyack), Rockland County New York and New York City. They were my great great grand parents and had eleven children. He had a brother William and a sister Catherine. I am looking for family information, namely a D.C. Comins, born about 1820 who married Lois Cady, I think. Their children included David Edson Comins (my great grandfather, born 7/25/1844 in Willimantic), Albert, James, William, Emma and maybe Charles and George, all born in the 1840 to 1850s and who are buried somewhere in CT.

Would be interested to get in touch with family members that could help me to know more about my ancestors. My grandfather was called Thomas Richard (1912 London-1998 London) and his parents were Sidney Charles Comins (1880 - ?) and Louisa Mary Comins (nee Waters) London. I think Sidney´s dad was called Thomas but I´m afraid that´s all I know. Thanks in advance and Regards to all the Comins around the world!

John Coumans/Comins-Jane Sargeant of Ireland

I'm looking for more information on the ancestry of John Coumans (also spelled Cummins, Cummings, Cuming, Commans etc.). He was born in 1795 in Couty Cork, Ireland. He married Jane Sargeant, also born in Cork County, but in 1800. Together, or prior to their marriage, they immigrated to Canada, eventually to New Brunswick, and finally settled in Chepstow, Bruce County Ontario. Together the couple had 7 children: Mary, Simon, Jane, John Jr., Elizabeth, Anne and Thomas Coumans. I would love any info anyone has on this family line!

I would like to find more info on the Comins.
Here is a little bit that I have.
Isaac Comins b about 1601 in England. Came to the US about 1630,he was made a freeman May18,1642 and a deacon of a church.Don't know his wifes name other than she died before May 1677. They had 4 kids John b.1630 d.Dec.1700,Isaac,Elizabeth and Ann.
John married Sarah Howlet d.Dec.7,1700. They had 11 kids John b.1656 or 57,Thomas,Nathaniel,Sarah,Abraham,Isaac,
Ebenezer,William,Eleazer,Benjamin and Samuel.
John b.1656or57 married Sept.13,1680 to Elizabeth Kinsley b.Nov.22,1657 d.July 3,1706
They had 8 kids John b.July 7,1682
d.April 17or27 ,1759,Samuel,Elizabeth,Hannah,
Ebenezar,Anna,Lydia and William.
John b.July 7,1682 married Oct.3,1705 to Elizabeth Adams. They had 10 kids
there was a name change from Comins to Cumings.their kids.

d.Sept.9,1759,Thomas,Abregail,Samuel,Ephram,
Bridget and Ebenezar.
I have alot more info to the present but not all complete. If anybody can help in any direction it would be appreciated.

John Comins b. 1668 in Woburn MA m. Mary Lee ?? Children Jacob, John, MAry, Josiah, Stephen, James, KAtherine.

Jacob b. 1700 Woburn MA m. Huldah Coolidge. Their children William, Reuben, Mindwell, Martha, Elizabeth, Lemuel, Jacob, Solomon. Jacob had three other wives besides Huldah, so some of these children might not be hers. (Other spouses Martha Leonard, Elizabeth Eddy, Deborah Hinkley.

William Comins b. 1733 0r 1734 in Oxford MA, died 1784 Charlton MA. He m. Hannah Margaret Hammond b. 1740 in Warwick MA. Their children Coolidge, Jonas, James, William, Mindwell, Margaret, Hannah, Elizabeth.

Cooldige Comins b. 1770 Charlton MA d. 1848 Eddington ME. He m. 1798 Margaret Mansfield b. 1775 in Boston. Their children Erastus b. 1811 Eddington ME, Wiliam 1800-1872 in MA, Coolidge b. 1803 in MA, Benjamin b. 1805 Eddington ME, Elijah b. 1807 Eddington ME.

Erastus m. Mary Taylor (1814-1900). Their children Charlotte M., Charles W., Flora A.
