Thomas B Comisky born abt 1885 in Pennsylvania or New Jersey married approx. 1904 to Katherine Colender born abt. 1886 and had several children; Helen, John, Marion, Walter and Donald. My main interest is in John Thomas Comisky and Thomas B Comisky ancestry. They lived in Trenton Mercer County New Jersey 1910,1920 and 1930 census's. Any information Welcomed.

COMISKEY-COMISKY-COMMISKEY all in the Philadelphia area of Pa. in late 1700's and 1800's.

My Great, Great Grandfather was Patrick Henry Comiskey, born in NY on 2/29/1867. His wife was Nellie Comiskey, Born in Chicago on 4/22/1871. Among their children were Irene Elizabeth and Johnny. This is all the information I really have but I'd like to find out where the family originated from in Ireland as well as any other information

Hi! I'm new to this site and couldn't believe how many Comisky's there are! I always thought the spelling of my name of was unique because when my grandfather (Hugh Comisky) came to American from Ireland he changed the spelling from "Comiskey" to Comisky. I was just wondering how your spelling came about.

Looking for info on Comisky/McComisky/etc... from Ireland to Scotland. My section of the family were in Bathgate Linlithgow by 1865.
Another section were in Boness Linlithgow by abt 1850.
Any connections with anyone

Joseph and John Comisky, moved to Detroit in 1920s.

Parents were Lithuanian immigrants. Father was coal miner who died before 1920 in OK. Mother, Mary Stankus remarried in Detroit. I am researching the Stankus line.

Looking for information on the Cummiskey family that had connections with Priest Prince Gallitzin of Cambria County. My 3rd great Grandfather was born in 1803 in Bedford County, in Pennsylvania. He had all of his children baptised by Father Gallitizin. Edward Mohney Cummiskey married Elizabeth JANE Porter daughter of John Patrick Porter.Edward became a Doctor. They lived in Indiana County raising their children there. John Patrick and Joseph were both in the battle of fair Oaks in Va. where both lost their lives. The spelling changes from page to page in my families history, but usually has two M's, sometimes a U sometimes the O, sometimes an e before the Y. I always thought it sounded like a Polish name when I was growing up.
I am trying to track down a family who came from County Monaghan.

Anna Commisky Duffy remained in Ireland as far as I know.

Mary Commisky Rielly settled in New Jersey.
Elizabeth Commisky McCann settled in Massachusetts. John Commisky settled in Pennsylvannia. Bridget Commisky McCabe settled in Roscoe Illinois.

I know Mary was in the country before Bridget. Bridget came to the US and stayed with Mary until she married James McCabe in Newark on July 5, 1954. Bridget and James McCabe moved to Roscoe Illinois.

My family history makes it sound as if their parents were still alive in Ireland when Bridget left.

Match up with anyone elses Comisky relatives? I know Irish names were often spelled bunches of different ways in English here in America.

My Great-Great Grandfather was Charles A. Comiskey who immigrated from County Cork Ireland. His son was Thomas A., who had Benedict J., who changed his name to Benjamin J. Comisky, who had Benedict J. JR, who is my father. If you can connect to any of these men please let me know. Females are as followes in order above.

Thomas A. had a brother Charles and sister Margaret.
Benedict J. had a sister Irene Muirhead/Boigstead.
Benedict J. Jr. had a sister Marion Krystof.
