Hi Noel,
I have noticed some of your messages re family research but didn't realize that you were in Melbourne. I thought that my family were the only Comleys in Melbourne. My grandfather, Albie George Comley (married to Gertrude Emma Box), emigrated from SwIndon, England, in 1911 at the age of age, with his family - parents Richard and Amelia Comley. Albie (known a George) and Emma had eight children, who each had a good number of children so there a a lot of, now spread throughout the Eastn states! I even have a brother named Noel. I have traced my family back to late 1700s in Wiltshire but hadn't been aware of anyone else emigrating to Australia. Knowing the tendency for families to go to the same area of Australua, I wonder if there's a connection that I've missed!
