I am seeking information on John Commerford, cabinet and chair maker in Brooklyn in 1830, then moved into New York City. He lived and worked there for many years. Wife was Mary and had a son, Charles Commerford of the same craft, though early playing professional baseball then clerking. Charles moved to Connecticut and I believe John went there in the later 1870s. John Commerford ran for U.S. Congress on the Lower East Side of New York on various third party tickets including the Republican in 1860.
