Our branch of the Commerford family hail from Templemore County Tipperary Ireland so I am told. From there they emmigrated to South Africa and ultimately Rhodesia (Zimbabwe).

I would like to conduct a one name study of this surname as family folklore has it that all the Commerfords are some how related - I would love to hear from anyone interested in putting this family "jig-saw" puzzle together.
