I am looking for the descendants of Maria Sulfaro, born in Curcuraci, Provincia Messina, Sicily on February 3, 1876. She arrived at Ellis Island on October 21, 1907.

She married Giuseppe Sturniolo and had two children Peter (1910) and Dominick (1911) Stuniolo in Pennsylvania. Giuseppe died young and I think she got remarried again to someone named Commisso. She had three more children, Vincent (1914), Mario (1915), and Louis (1918) Commisso born in New York.

I have requested the marriage certificate of Domenico Commisso who got married on September 30, 1912 to see if he married Maria Sulfaro Sturniolo.

In the 1930 census, Maria Commisso and the boys lived at 1314 60th Street, Brooklyn, New York.

Dominick Stuniolo passed away on July 8,1990. His wife was Angelina Mule who had passed away in 1966. His mother was Mary Sulfaro and Joseph Storniolo according to his Social Security application. In 1937, he still lived at 1314 60th Street and worked at Kirkman & Son on Water Street in Brooklyn.

The Sturniolo name has appeared as Stuniolo, Sturniolo, and Storniolo on records but I think they are all the same family. I believe Maria Sulfaro's first husband Giuseppe Sturniolo died on May 16, 1911.

I am trying to find the descendants of Peter and Dominick Stuniolo or Storniolo and Vincent, Mario, and Louis Commisso. They would be my cousins.
