My gg grandfather (Adam Common) is from Roxburgh area of Scotland and even though I don't have any info on Alice, I just thought I'd contact you. My relatives came from Scotland to Ontario (Galt). I have run across your last name when I have delved into Ontario, birth, marriage, etc. records. I have found a number of Grieve names that have married Common......we could be related somewhere down the tree....but who knows.
