Fabrizio,
I hope you are still checking this! I am from Fort Worth TX and will be visiting Italy in April. I would like to find out more about my family's roots there. My great great grandfather was Paul Comolli (the one referred to earlier). I don't speak italian so unfortunately cannot read the Comolli website : (. If you have any information that would be helpful I would appreciated it!
Thanks! Amy Comolli

Paul,
Bob Comolli (who you mentioned)is my dad. My mom and dad, older sister, nephew and I live in Ft.Worth, TX now. My dad retired from ARCO around 1999. I am planning a trip to northern Italy in April and interested in finding out more about where our family came from and if we have any relatives still there. I will be landing in Rome on April 18th and returning to TX from Rome on April 30th.
Any information on family history and resources to help me in the research is much appreciated! I've never done any family history research before so it's a little overwhelming to me : ). Ron (who you are corresponding with) is my dad's cousin and emailed me some information the other day.
I forgot what my dad told me, what do you do in Juneau? I went there for a visit in 1993- neat place!

Hello Ron, Paul, Anita,

I am a Comolli from Milano, Italy.
I am updating our family site www.comolli.it in which I'm trying to publish both our family's history and an history of the Comolli surname. The origin of our surname seems to be from the Varese zone (Arcisate and Ceresio Valley). We've heard about Barre, Vt. and the emigration of Comolli people in the USA, but we've few news at this regard.

If you come to visit our site you are welcome (our site is in Italian, I hope to setup an english version in the future...).

Best
Fabrizio

I am married to John Comolli. He is the son of Fredrick and Lucretia Ditmar Comolli. We are interested in any information on Fred Comolli, my husband's grandfather, who died in Woodside Queens in New York City in 1971. We know that John has aunts and uncles but we do not have much information because the family is estranged from one another. Any information to share with my children would be appreciated. John's father, Fredrick Martin Comolli died in 1986 and served in WWII as a seaman... I wish I had more information on my husband's family to share with you but anything you have would be appreciated... Thanks..

Hello Ron,
My name is Paul Anthony Comolli. My Father is Paul Michael Comolli and his father was John David Comolli born in Piqua Oh at the turn of the century. My grandmother Dorothy is the family matriarch and record keeper. She tells me that her father law, my great-grandfather (and I'm embarrassed that I can't recall his name at the moment but I think it was Jasper or Leo) was one of five brothers, who were stone cutters, came over together.

The story is that four of the brothers settled in New York and Barre Vt. My great-grandfather started a momument business in Piqua,a small town on the Miami river in south central Ohio.

I now live in Juneau Alaska and also lived in Austin, Tx from 1990-1993. I also had the priveledge to meet a Robert Windred Comolli who worked for ARCO and lives in Anchorage Alaska, but told me he was from Texas and that his father was named Paul Comolli. Is uncle Bob a relative of yours?
