Looking for any further information or relatives in regards to this family. My great-great grandfather, Robert Compeau was born in Ontario January 1868. Robert's parents were John Compeau, born December 1842 in Quebec and Octavia Besseau/Bereau, born June 1848 (?) in New York. They were married about 1867 in Ontario. Robert married Melvina Mary Prevost on 9 May 1892 in Wilson, Alpena, Michigan. They had 13 children. I am unsure if there is any relation to Louis Compeau as found on other sites since there is a gap but it may be possible. I'll welcome any information and do check on my posts frequently, so let me know!
