Esther Comrie emigrated to Australia in 1885.

She claimed that her father was John Comrie, a merchant, and her mother was Ellen White, when she married in Queensland in 1891.

When I applied for her Scottish birth certificate, I found that she was born Esther White in Edinburgh, in 1866.

I would be interested to hear about a marriage between John Comrie and Ellen White after 1866.
