Hello everyone, I am a newbie to this chat line but noticed your previous posts and thought I should chip in on John McLaren. He is not the one I am related to, but thought I would mention the John1830 that I am chasing info on. My John was a brother to Peter1822 who is my gx4 grandfather. Peter married a Mary Dow1828 on Dec19 1851 - dont know where. I have little info on John but his ( and Peters ) father John1797 married Elizabeth Morison1801 at Comrie Dec5 1821 and anything I can find further back would be much appreciated. There is a Margaret that was sister to John and Peter and - she was born May 30 1839 in Comrie. One of Eleven children. I gleaned all this from Comrie census's.
It is possible that John McLaren 1797 that I am trying to trace had parents Peter and Elizabeth McLean but I cannot find anything to prove or not that this is correct.
Would appreciate any info anyone may be able to help me with.
