Hi Carol, i have some info on Conachers, my grandfather was Roy Hood Conacher,we were able to trace bak to David Conacher who Died 7 May 1874 he was 65yrs, he married Janet Anderson Seaton Of Pitlochry- Scotland. they married in Pert Scotland 1840-41. I do not know if this is the family you are looking for. There is a James Conacher B 1850 who died in the transkei
