Adam J.Condo was my grandpa. He also had a son named William (Bill) who was my dad (died in 1997)another son of Adam's was Jack, also deceased. He had a maid named Izola, who was a great favorite of the family and lots of fun. His only daughter was Kathleen, and we've lost track of her over the years.

I've inherited some wonderful information about my ancestors but it ends with my great-great grandparents. If anyone has further information. I would LOVE to talk to you. This is what I know...

Daniel Webster Condo (b. 29 Apr 1866 in East Germantown, IN; d. in Oklahoma City, OK on 7 Nov 1905). He was married to Alice Mae Friend Condo Cole (b. 18 Apr 1870 in Reading, OH; d. 16 June 1955 in Texas). I believe the had 10 boys, two who were named: Daniel Ray Condo and Edgar Leslie Condo (my great grandfather).

I have a wonderful letter from Alice's sister, Kate that I'd love to share and be able to confirm information.

Condo and Young families

I recently received a good amount of old photos from my older brother. There are a few Condo's that I recognize, but most are of Bernis, Ruth (Young) Condo and their daughter, Berna Lee. I believe alot of the photos may be of the Young family. There are some of Ruth and Naomi Young. Both were teachers. A few class or group pictures. I just need to find someone, maybe an elder, that may know who alot of the people are. One is even a tintype photo of a beautiful young woman.

The families would be in or near Effingham County, Illinois.
I hope I can find someone out there that can help me in some way.

Bob worked at the GM tech center and then joined the Detroit Police Department he retired in 1981 and moved to the florida Keys. He presently resides in Cudjoe Gardens on Cudjoe Key. I do not know his present phone but saw him there about six months ago.

I am his grand daughter but don't have alot of info on him. I am the daughter of Kathleen. He was married to Nancy. Not a very close family, obviously....because I know we had an Uncle Adam but I don't remember any other uncles. Uncle Adam also lived in Memphis and was married to a woman named Mary and I believe that they had three sons...one being Tommy, Adam and I can't remember the last ones name. Not alot of help. Perhaps you can find one of the other grandchildren. Kathleen had four kids: one was Patty, another Amy, myself and a son named William. He would be the easiest to find: William Ronald Lutes and last I knew he was living in Missouri. I think Kathleen was also living in Missouri somewhere in the Ozarks but her last name may have been changed. It was Lutes the last I knew but I believe she got a divorce so who knows now?

CONDO-Frederick Joseph Condo, M.D., born January 9, 1926, passed away November 29, 2007. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 49 years, Yvonne Condo nee Stritt of Fribourg, Switzerland; sons Frederick J. Condo, Ph.D. and Joel Condo; nieces Vivian Shallito and Vicki Cline; nephews Joseph and Michael Condo; sister-in-law Kathryn Condo; the Condo family of Australia; the Stritt and Bertschy families of Switzerland; and the Panucci family of Pennsylvania; as well as countless other friends, relatives, and colleagues. He was preceded in death by his beloved sister and brother, Carmel Condo Peticca and Charles S. Condo, M.D. Fred was born and raised in Stowe Township, Pennsylvania, and enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1943 at the age of 17. A life member of the Chartiers Valley Lodge in Pennsylvania, he became a 32 Freemason in 1949. He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Pittsburgh, then studied medicine at the University of Bologna, Italy, the University of Fribourg, Switzerland; and the University of Miami, Florida, where he earned his medical degree. In 1962 he began his medical practice in Covina, and, over the 43 years of his medical career, served communities throughout the Southland, as well as a mid-career period back in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Excited by the advances in heart repair and transplants, in the late 1960s and early 1970s he became a specialist in cardiology, and spent the rest of his career in emergency medicine, often alongside his brother. His contributions to medicine also included inventions and teaching. His family, friends, and co-workers will remember his commitment to healing, his comedic sense of humor, and his passion for education. All who know Fred are invited to visit on Wednesday, December 5 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 21300 Via Verde Drive in Covina. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 6 at 11:30 AM at the Church of Our Heritage, again at Forest Lawn, Covina. I have information on Thomas Condo, son of Aaron Condo and Sarah Potts. He was b. March 29, 1853 in Clermont County, Ohio, d. July 7, 1884 in Clifton, Iroquois County, Illinois and was married October 30, 1876 to Christina (Apgar) Goldtrap in Watseka, Iroquois County, Illinois. He was married married my husbands gg-grandfather's widow. I am looking for the burial cemetery of Aaron and Sarah Condo. I live in Cincinnati and want to photograph their tombstones any help would be appreciated.

I don't think there was a Christina Rice, unless you have a source. I think they only person he was married to was Christina (Apgar) Goldtrap. The Goldtrap family have Rice's in the line. I have their marriage certificate and it makes no mention of any previous marriage for Thomas. By the way when Thomas and Christina got married he was only 23 and she was 54 years of age, interesting.

Condo's Ohio

I am looking for the cemetery in which Aaron Burr Conda and his wife may be buried in the Clermont County area of Ohio. My husbands gggrandfather was married to Christina (Apgar) and when he died she married a Thomas Condo who was born in Clermont County Ohio, his parents being Aaron and Sara Condo.
Thomas was much younger than Christina when the married on Oct. 30, 1876 he was just 23 years of age and she was 54 years of age. They had only been married for eight years when he died. He is buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Iroquois County, Illinois. I would like to locate were his parents are buried, as I live in Cincinnati and would like the photo for a source.

Harry - b 7-13-1909, d 6-25-1991, PA. On my copy of information, there were children, but the names, dates and places had been whitened out.

Hope this info helps to fill in the gaps for someone here.

Beth, I can't make any connections to your Condo family. Can you go back any further than William Walter? I have a William W b. somewhere in the 1850's (a guess) who married Alice HARDING and had a son named Elmer Everett CONDO. Does this ring any bells?

I would love to tell you my Creamers were from the UK, but I don't know. Could be there, could be Ireland, could be Germany. I haven't been able to find their origins yet. My earliest Creamer is Joseph (or Casper, depending on who you believe) b. about 1780 in Virginia, I think. I'm still looking for his true name and his parents...

Adam J. Condo was my grandfather. What would you like to know about him? His four sons were named Edward (died as an infant), Adam Francis (my father), William, and John. My Mother is living (Elizabeth Z. Paul). My name is Elizabeth Z (Condo) Miller. (I go by Beth). My prople were from Ireland and Scotland. They came to this country about 1900-1908. Not sure. Did Joseph W Condo die in Cincinnati in 1959? I found a death record for someone by that name on Ancestry.com.
I come your direction every once in awhile, to go to Jungle Jim's . Maybe we could meet somewhere...I have to do it on a Saturday or a Sunday afternoon, but it sounds like fun.

Joyce, I know that Walter Henry Condo married Ada B. Snider in St. Clair County, Illinois on 9/23/1902. I know they had a son named George Leroy Condo. I know George Leroy had a son, George Thomas, 5/14/1934. What do you think? I've heard George Canto's name before but I can't trace the generations back to him. George Leroy married Sarah Helen Gasaway and they had one son, George Thomas Condo. George Leroy had another son (Gerald?)by his second wife.
