My connections are Ellen Condon born June 4.1863? in Limerick.She came to America in 1875. Her parents were Patrick Condon and Peggy Sheen(Sheehan?) Ellen had six siblings Pat, Tom, Jack, Mary,Kate and John, John the youngest stayed in Ireland. James and Thomas Condon of Glenroe RC parish Limerick married two Gallagher sisters from RC Kildorrery, Cork

Is anyone researching the Condon name in the RC parish of Glenroe and Ballyorgan? It is possible that one of these two families emigrated to England. I have two marriage records indicating two brothers married two sisters. There was a time when one of the Gallagher families did use the name Galway so both of these women are Gallaghers. If the families moved back to Co. Limerick and belonged to the RC parish of Glenroe, they likely had all of their children before church records were kept.

2-7-1826: James Condon, Glenroe, m. Mary Galway of Gortacurrig; RC Kildorrery;witnesses Thomas Maume and Daniel Hannin.

A Choteau Man

It is believed that Frank Condon, whose dead body was found a few days ago on the tidewater flats at Seattle, was formerly a resident of Choteau, as tattooed marks on the body are the same as are known to have been on the body of the Frank Condon who lived in Choteau.

(The town of Choteau is in Teton Co., Montana).

In the Irish Archives 1911 Cork census, I found a David Condon, age 74, wife Ellen, 55 and children Robert, Garrett and Catherine. They had eight other children, still living at the time according to the census return. "Garrett" is one of our Condon forenames, and we're from Mitchelstown, so I'd be very interested to find anyone who may have a connection to this family.

Thanks for the note. You are correct, it is not 1850, but instead was 1860. She was in St. Louis, MO. in the 1860 census. It was a typo on my part.

I still haven't found out anything helpful about her.

My 3rd great grandfather was Joseph Condon (b1822 Ireland, d1907 Stratford, Marathon, Wisconsin). He married Bridget Moehan (Mahen) and they had four kids that I am aware of.

does anyone know anything of Anastasia Condon born 1889, im not sure where but i do know that she was living at 5 Duke Street, Doncaster prior to marrying Charles King on 29th February 1908, her father is called francis Condon and had died prior to the wedding. had a daughter Winifred and then married Stanley. I think
this was all in Ireland and then they all came to Simcoe, Ontario. The Condons were in Limerick.

Thank you for your message.
What is your connection to John and Michael Condon?
We have not had much luck in tracing them the clonmel area of Tipperary. My cousin Mike is working hard to try and find a lead from the info we got from John army discharge papers. It gave his army no a description of him and that he was born in the parish of St Marys near the town of Clonmel.He joined the army 46th Regt of Foot when he was 18, spent 9 years in India and 3 in the West Indies.
Mike has found some useful info in Ardfinnan and Lattin which are villages close by.
Please let me know if you have anything further that you can add.
Will let you know if we get anywhere.
We have managed to get a long way back with Johns wife Mary Jane Rowsell, an interesting story.

Condon/Thompson Michigan

I am looking for a Sarah Condon who was born in Canada in 1844. She married a William Thompson. They came to Michigan in 1890 and settled in Montcalm County, Michigan. Their daughter Sarah married Charles C Hansen a relative of mine in 1895 in Manistee, Michigan. They had two daughters Pearl L and Hazel B. In 1910 they were living with their maternal grand-parents in Moncalm County. After 1910 I was unable to locate the girls. I don't know what happened to their parents. Any help appreciated.

I am looking for ANY information on Thomas William Condon (who served under William Stewart in the King's American Dragoons) prior to enlistment. Was he a colonist (living where?), what generation or did he arrive to the colonies (from where?) to support England's efforts during the Revolution. Anyone that may have any information would be extremely helpful.

The Thomas W Condon I am researching married Ruth Leonard (Stewart or Lafferty) in Canada after being granted land there by the Crown. I have most of the decendants (settling in Canada, Winsconsin, Michigan) and am really trying to go further back, prior to his service with the Crown.

I believe we have the same ancesters. William Davies Condon was the brother of James Condon 1858 who was my Great Grandfather. William Condon 1833 was in Cardiff for the 1841 census living in Mary Ann Street parents John and Mary Condon 1811??? Two other children are recorded Hana and Richard who was born in Cardiff. Another son James Condon was born in 1845 but James Condon 1811 died in 1847. William married Charlotte Davies in 1856. By 1851 Mary Condon was living with Patrick Downey. 1861 Census records Richard and James as Stepsons.
