My Grandfather,Michael, was living at Oldcourt, Tallaght when he married in 1915.His parents lived there at that time.Do you know where the pig farm was in Tallaght?
Good luck,
Josie

Hello Josie,

I too have been searching for a Condron with no luck too date. Perhaps the spelling you have as Conderan will help.

One of the children you list is JAMES, born 1905 fits the James Condron (now possibly Conderan)age bracket that I have been looking for.

The only information I have about this James is that he lived near Kevin Street in Dublin around 1952 and had a pig farm (not really a farm in those days) in Tallaght, which again fits with your Tallaght.

This James owned a square blue van. He had the nickname 'shotdown' and also 'buckets'. He was friends with my uncle Mikey McNamara, now deceased.

This James was married and had a son, also called James who married but later divorced.

If you are aware that this James is part of the family you are seeking, please let me know.

Many Thanks,

Dee
I have information on a Mary Doyle mother of a William J. Condren (might be a variant spelling of the name Condron, Conderon, etc...). It shows here that

Family story I have heard:
Maybe the Mary Doyle you are looking for:

From a file I found in our files---your question rang a bell--the name Doyle reminded me of story I heard of her visiting Margaret Condren (Francis Leo Condren) in Chicagoland area before she returned to New York! She wrote a letter to Margaret thanking her for the lovely visit, laid down for a nap and never woke up--died peacefully after having visited relatives out of state!

Willaim J. Condren
B. Tekin, New York
b. date: March 2, 1876
d. July 21, 1951.
Appears to have married Mary C. Doyle

Mother: Mary C. Doyle
Birthplace; Brooklyn, N.Y.
Date of birth: Feb 17, 1886
deceased: Sept 24, 1961

Check out the spelling "Condren"

Kevin, Do you know when your grandfather moved to Gt Ship Street? I think the following are your grandparents at Meath Terrace in the 1911 census. Does it look correct? It would indicate that Thomas and Bridget got married in 1903-4, and that your father was one of the younger children in the family. I have quite an extensive database on CONDR*Ns so may be able to help more.

I'd also be very interested to know what TV programme it was where you saw something about Mary CONDRON. Perhaps you could contact me off-list.

Michael Thompson
condran@one-name.org

Meath Place, North Side, Usher's Quay
Thomas	CONDRAN	Head	Roman Catholic	Read & Write	35	General Labourer	Married Dublin City
Bridget	CONDRAN	Wife	Ditto	Read & Write	34 Married	7	4	4	Dublin City
Bridget	DELANEY	Step-Daughter	Ditto	Read & Write	13	Dressmakers apprentice	Single Dublin City
Christina	CONDRAN	Daughter	Ditto	Read & Write	6	Scholar	Single Dublin City
Hughe	CONDRAN	Son	Ditto 3 Single Dublin City
Annie	CONDRAN	Daughter	Ditto 8 months Single Dublin City

Would welcome any information on my grandfather Thomas' family who lived at No. 11 Great Ship Street in Dublin, his wife was Bridget, nee Smith ( married previously to Delaney). My father James Cyril Condron was born there in 1919. They then moved to Kevin Street flats nearby.

My great grandfather was Hubert Condron.

Saw a programe on English tv this week about a Mary Condron who was left on the top of the steps leading to Castle street as a baby. She then grew up in a children's home before being reunited with her family via a website many years later. Wonder if this is a coincidence with Great ship street being so near to Castle street.

Thanks,

Kevin Condron.

They had a child named Emily Amelia in India in about 1867 ... and children various parts of the Uk ... different barracks. My grandfather was named Francis born 1872 born at Aldershot.
It appears that Sarena Condron married Riley Couch, her first cousin. The 1870 U.S. Census has them living next door to each other in Franklin Parish, LA. Their common grandparents were John (William Jack) Condron and Rachel Vaught. Riley's mother was their daughter, Mary Ann Condron Couch 1825-1850; and Sarena's Father was their son, John Condron 1828-1864.
Riley was about 26 and Sarena about 15 when they married. I don't know where or when she died.
Sarena's father is buried in the Confederate section of the Florence City Cemetery, Lauderdale Co., AL
Frank Condron, Edna, TX

Frank,

My great aunt has her marriage license to Riley Couch (Dec. 1, 1870) which she had a daughter named Cora. For some reason on her license her name is spelled "Careney". My aunt also has the marriage license when she married my great great grandfather. His name was Ansel Hudgins and she married him Dec. 12, 1878 (Franklin Parish, Louisiana) and had four children. One of the children Joseph Van Hudgins is my great grandfather. I have not been able to find a whole lot on her. No birth records or death records either. Can you tell me more about her. Thanks, Lisa Stewart

Sarena Condron, b. AL abt 1855, was the niece of William Franklin Condron, b. 1813 AL and later of Williamson Co., TX; and daughter of John Condron, b. AL abt 1828, d. abt 1864 in Civil War.
In 1870 she is listed as single with her widowed mother, Nancy Condron in Franklin Co., LA. Next door is an M. Couch, who I believe is Marion Couch who married Mary Ann Condron, sister of the above noted John.
I have notes that Sarena married a Frank Couch, but have no documentation on this. Please contact me if you have evidence of Sarena's marriage or further info. Thanks, Frank Condron, Edna, TX.

I have no records of his siblings or parents.

However, it was mentioned in this forum that their was a Stewart Condron who was born about 1797 in TN. It was said he had siblings John and Jesse Condron. Also, their parents names were William Condron and Eleanor Stewart who married May 8, 1781 in Harford, Maryland.

Does anyone have more information about them, and specifically, if Stewart's brother John Condron was the same John who married Rachel vaught?

Thank you!

Have you checked the census records for Bastrop Co, TX? It might be a possibility the OWENS family you seek is there. I would also check the census for Decatur, Alabama area because the OWENS family was part of a group of families that left Alabama for Texas in the 1840's. I know several of the families intermarried. Some of the surnames: CONDRON, OWENS, RITCHEY, LANE, OLIVER
Sorry I am not more help on the line you seek. I do have extensive records, and some old photographs, if you wish to contact me via email.

mickandsherri(at symbol)charter.net

She died in Elgin, then Bastrop county, Texas when my grandfather, William Robert Condron, was 6 years old. I believe that she is buried there. Her sister's name, Martha Jenny Owens b 1852 is the first relative that I have found for her in my continued search for her parents.

Jacob Condron/Condren age 25 in 1850 Census of Frankstown, Blair PA

I don't know if anyone else has been puzzling about the Jacob Condron/Condren age 25 who shows up in Frankstown, Blair PA in 1850 with his family - but this family has puzzled me for a long time. He appeared to be a member of the Jacob Condron Sr. family but I was unable to place him anywhere. I think I may have the answer. I believe the enumerator made a mistake. This same family shows up in Frankstown in 1860 and 1870 as the Jacob CONFER family. I hope that helps to solve the puzzle. Thanks- Linda Hansen
