I'm looking for any and all info on a Phoebe (Phebe?) Conger, in Michigan in the 1800s. Here is what I know so far, which is not enough yet to satisfy me I've found who I'm looking for.

My ggggrandfather Judson I. Seeley married twice; the second was to a Phoebe Unknown. They were married some time after 1860 but before 1862, since their first son, Harrison G. Seeley, was born 4-7-1862 in Genesee County, MI. He died in October 1896 in Genesee County, MI. She survived at least to the 1900 Census and then I lose track of her.

I'm trying to confirm her maiden name. Her son Lewis Truman Seeley, b. 8-21-1868; d. 9-23-1945 in Los Angeles, states on his death cert that his mother's maiden name was Conger.

But I have not been able to find any Phoebe Conger born around the right time, late 1830s or early 1840s, anywhere. So I can't be satisfied yet that I've closed this loop.

However, there are a lot of coincidences:

1. A Harrison G. Conger married one of Judson Seeley's sisters, Deniza Ann Seeley.

2. Judson and Phoebe named their first son Harrison G. Seeley.

3. Harrison Conger's mother's name was Phoebe (but she's the wrong generation to be the one I'm looking for).

4. Harrison and Deniza Conger had a daughter they named Phoebe, but she was only 9 in the 1850 census, and Harrison and Deniza only married in Dec. 1839, so I doubt seriously this could be the Phoebe Conger I seek.

Any clues?
