I am a direct descendent of Mathew Conklin and Phebe Jane Mohawk. They were my 5th great grandparents. They are buried in Pine Meadow Lake which is located in Harrimon State Park in Rockland County, NY. I actually visited the lake a couple of years ago. I took pictures of the lake. Pine Meadow Lake was once home to the Conklin family. Then the Palisades Park Commision forced the sales of the land. The Conklin family was forced off the property. There was a damn built that is where Pine Meadow Lake was formed. The Conklin family burial ground is located under Pine Meadow Lake. I have in my records that Phebe died in 1864 and Mathew in 1870.
