I am looking for information about my ggg-grandparents, Caleb & Catharine Conklin. I found a Caleb & Catharine Conklin in the 1850 census in Minisink, Orange County, NY. He is listed as a shoemaker, age 22 and she is age 17.
I believe this is them because from my gg-grandfather, James Conklin's obit I know that he was born in Orange County NY in 1855 and that the family moved to Iowa when he was small. Also know that he had a younger brother, George born in NY in 1857.
