Earl CONLEY - Kenton Co, KY 1893 - now?

Hello! I'm looking for a CONLEY (CONNOLLY, CONNELLY) family whose father/husband is nameless right now. Whomever he was, he married a Mary (whose last name is still a mystery), had 6 children, then he died before the 1900 census of Kenton Co.KY.

Mary is born Dec 1856 according to the 1900 census, so maybe her husband is around the same date/age?

Their children are:
Bessie b. Nov 1884 KY
Mattie b. July 1886 KY
Earl b. 14 May 1893 Covington, Kenton, KY
and 3 children who did not live to see the 1900 census

The above info was found looking through the 1900, 1910, 1920 and 1930 census records. I was able to find the WW1 draft registration for Earl and a 1930 census for him.

The reason I'm looking into who this family is, is in the 1910 census Mary CONNELLY (spelling on the census) and Earl are living with my aunt and cousins. My aunt, Carrie ROBINSON CONLEY VANEYE was listed as being a sister in law to Mary. Obviously, CONLEY is the dead give away, but I do not see a CONLEY family member who married a Mary and had the children listed. So, it must be somewhere else!

Is there anyone who might know Mary, Earl or his children:
Bessie Lou b.c1924
Carl bc 1926
Vaughine? bc 1928

Thank you for any help you might be able to offer!
jamie in southern ca

Recenlty a part of a mountain side was cleared, in doing so we saw several tombstones. After a hike up we were able to read these tomstones and markers..there is several Conleys dated bvack to 1800's .These are locate din Marion NCarolina.. i would be happy to send pictures, read dates for anyone who may be looking for these burials sites.. names were. Annie, Joseph, J Edward, George, C. Alonzo, and Miltilda...if anyone is looking for thses please email me at DebbieKGolds@aol.com.. i will be glad to send you photos or read the stones for you. These markers on the whole ar in VERY good condition, clean and huge in size. Must have been a family plot and for the time of burial the size would tell me this family had some money. Dating back to 1808.
Deb

Conleys in VA

My husband is descended from Tiberius Conley, 1859-1916. We think his father may have been named Edward and his mother Charlotte. Tiberius was married to Ruth Baldwin Wilkinson. There children's names were Lily, Nora, Rosetta, Hallet, and Samuel. He spent most of his life in Norfolk, VA, but I do not know if he was born there.

Trying to find the name of the parents of Jackson,Lawrence(born 1874), Stonewall and William(willie) Conley. All were brothers but when parents died after arriving in Oklahoma Jackson and Stonewall were taken to Calafornia(to be raised by family?) have no record on them. Lawrence and William were raised by Mr. and Mrs. Whit Johnson Sr. in Sperncerville, Ok. William Conley married Irene Formby of Spencerville. Had 3 children, Althea, Wilson(Buck) and Jerry. Can anyone point me towards Jackson, Lawrence, Stonewall and William Conley's Parents or to the Where abouts and outcome of Jackson and Stonewall Conley?

Conleys in West Virginia 1850-1890

Help, I've hit a dead end in my search for my ancestors.

My great grandfather was Ray Conley, b. 1889 or 1890 in Parkersburg, Wood County WV. Ray Conley married Elsie Baird. They had three sons, and Adrian Conley is my grandfather.

Ray Conley's parents were Sherman Conley and Emma (nee Lockhart). Sherman and Emma had a son named Thearle and apparently a daughter that must have died as I've never heard of her.

I can't find anything past Sherman Conley. He was born in WV abt 1868. I can find no record of his parents, although he stated both were WV natives.

I appreciate any help; it's a long shot, I know.

My CONLEY line is in VA. I have found them in Logan, WVA and KY. It appears that they were all in VA until the lines of the different states changed (that is MY assumption).
James married Rachel Stobaugh
his son Gordon Cloyd married Mary Jane Boling
his son Rufus Brittian married Susan Howard Stratton
his son William Gordon married Lou Clyburne
his son Clyde Gordon married Ida Null
(I am not sure about GC being James's SON. There seems to be a missing generation there.)

I'm trying to find information on a Lawrence Conley born about 1904 I believe in Syracuse, NY and died in 1977 in Syracuse, NY. According the the census in 1930 his father was from Canada - Eng., and his mother was from Ireland - Free State. He was married to a Florance Conley and had two children by the names of Donald and June, and was remarried at some point and had a son Larry. I'm having a problem finding Lawrence on any records prior to 1920 and am unable to find the names of his parents. Does anyone have any information on this that may be able to help me? Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you!

POW/MIA Korean War, CONLEY

I am searching for the family of a soldier who was killed in the Korea War. When he entered service he gave Logan County, West Virginia as his home of record. His remains were never recovered.

Soldier: PETE CONLEY
Born: July 14, 1931, Caucasian
Date of loss: December 12, 1950, MIA

When the Korean War ended the enemy never returned or accounted for over 8,000 of our servicemen. They died in their hands. That was over 50 years ago. Since that time DNA has been perfected and also they are recovering remains in North Korea. Our government is obligated to return those remains to the proper family. DNA samples have been obtained from most of the families of these missing soldiers. For various reasons some families have not been located. The Conley family is one of those missing.

When the remains are recovered and identified they will be returned to the family for proper burial. I am just an old (76 years) Combat Veteran out of the Korean War and thankful that I did return. I consider this a very noble cause and I hope that you can help in some way to find this family. For more information on the project you may go to http://www.jpac.pacom.mil/. My part in the program is to match up the lost families with the proper agency.

I will be grateful for any assistance in locating this family.

Harold Davis
40th Infantry Division
Korea ’52-‘53
910-791-2333
hgdavis@bellsouth.net
I'm looking for information on the ancestry of my paternal grandmother, Florence (Conley) Armstrong. She was born on October 12, 1894(?) in Rumson, New Jersey, and died on November 11, 1959. Her father was Patrick Conley, her mother was Mary McCabe(?), and both immigrated from Ireland before 1894. She had three siblings, Harry, Lillian and Arthur. She married John J. Armstrong in 1915. I have not been able to find her and her family in any of the census databases prior to her marriage to my grandfather. I'd appreciate any information on her parents and siblings,, and also on how to trace my family back to Ireland.

Hoping someone can help, looking for James Conley from Carleton county, Ontario. All I have on him is that he married Eliza Henderson b. 1846 in Carleton and they had at least one child, Thomas Wesley Conley b. 1873. The sheet says Eliza is buried at Shillington Cemetery in Munster in 1876, but says nothing about James.
This info was passed down on a familly sheet from another relative and I haven't been able to find anything more on any of my searches. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Duane
