WEST BRANCH, Iowa -- Doris A. Connell, 65, West Branch, died Sunday, April 13, 2003, at her home after a short illness.
Graveside services are at the West Branch Cemetery. The Rev. Scot Patrick will officiate. The Barker Funeral Home in West Branch is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Connell was born on Sept. 13, 1937, in Bland, Va., the daughter of William F. and Bonnie Gwyn Woody. She was married to Ronald Lee Connell.
For several years she was employed with Ron Moore Oil Co. at the Sky King Restaurant, West Branch.
She enjoyed her family, playing cards and board games.
Survivors include a son, William Connell of West Branch; four grandchildren, Joseph, Justin, Jeri and Jeffrey; three brothers, Dean Woody of North Liberty, Ron Croy of West Branch and Gil Woody of Iowa City; three sisters, Pauletta Broyles of West Branch, Willie Sue Wolfe of Bland, and Adina Croy of San Diego, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Nanita Connell; and two brothers, James Woody and Roger Woody
