Just reading your post from 2000. My husbands Gr,Gr Grandfather was a J.C. Conner whom married Emily Young <--I got this info from Rosa Lee Rogers death certificate

One of their daughters was Rosa Lee Conner (Rogers Married name) She had two girls that I can find:
1. Eula Rogers (My husbands Grandmother)
2. Eula Rogers (Franklin) Daugher that signed Rosa Lee's death certificate

Eula Rogers (Groce, Kinard, McGaughey <--married several times)
Eula Rogers(husbands Grandmother) had two sons that I know of: Jimmie Claude Groce b: 10/03/1933 d: 08/11/2006
Mack McGaughey b:? still living

My husband has always heard (as have I) that Eula Rogers was part Cherokee Indian. This is whay caught my attention. There are several similarities in your story to the one I'm researching. Hopefully I'll get a response.
