Looking for info on my husband's family. His grandfather was Willard Clement Cookman, born 6 Dec. 1882 in Indiana. Willard's father was Minter Bailey Cookman, born 23 Dec. 1849, In Anderson, Indiana. Minter's father was Minter Bailey, Sr., born before 1825, in Virginia. Minter Sr. married Margaret Reel. Minter Jr. married Sarah Jane Meade. We have reason to believe that Minter Bailey Sr. is a descendant of Rice Cookman who came from England, but we haven't been able to make a positive connection. Please help if you have anything. Minter Bailey Sr. may have been from Jane Lew or Jesses Run in either Virginia or W.V. Thank you! Sherry
