My Grandfather was Clyde Dygert from Hardin, Montana. There is a connection with my great-grandmother, Permillia.

Permillia Coolidge, a second cousin to Calvin Coolidge, married Ernest H. Dygert on June 11, 1901. A year later, their first son Clyde was born.

In January of 1914, the Dygerts moved to Toluca, Montana to homestead. There they put up a two-story house which remains today.

School District 17-H was getting organized about this time and was short of funds for buildings, so Mr. Dygert built a schoolhouse across the road. He furnished the building and the coal and the desks and supplies for six pupils. The district furnished the teacher, Rose Ewers, later to become Mrs. Walter Torske. Clyde, now twelve years old, would build a fire at the school house each cold morning. Clyde also helped Bert Lillis of Billings set the stakes when they resurveyed the streets of Toluca. Toluca was on the dirt road to Billings.

Clyde and his family lived and farmed here until 1926. Clyde's mother and father moved to Red Lodge, Montana in 1926. Clyde stayed on the farm until 1938 when he moved to Hardin and got into trucking full time. His first truck was a Ford one and a half ton, with which he hauled farm products and coal. Coal was used to heat the district schools and had to be shoveled off the truck by hand.

Researching a Lt. Col. Philip Coolidge who served in the US Army in Vietnam. The only information we have is that he was killed or perhaps was missing in action in 1967. Unable to locate him on NARA. Campbell, N.Y. — Thelma J. Coolidge, 75, of Cty. Rte. 1, Campbell, entered into rest on Saturday morning, April 2, 2011, at her home.

Thelma was born in Troupsburg on January 11, 1936, the daughter of Myron and Isabelle Swartwood Grist.

She attended Campbell Central School.

On October 13, 1962, she and Douglas E. Coolidge were married in Coopers Plains.

Thelma was a homemaker as well as having been employed at Westinghouse Electric in Bath, worked seasonally for various vineyards around the Finger Lakes and lastly worked for the Campbell School District as a monitor.

Surviving are her husband of 48 years, Douglas Coolidge of Campbell, her son, Douglas (Pamela) Hamblin of Campbell, her daughters, Linda (Roy) Simons and Maureen (George) Simons, both of Campbell, her step daughters, Roseanna (Michael) Borisenko of Glenville, NY and Cynthia Orlando of Scotia, NY, her step sons, Kelvin (Cindy) Coolidge of Duanesburg, NY and Lyle Coolidge of Mayfield, NY, 16 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, her brothers, Myron (Shirley) Grist Jr. of Bath and William (Mary) Grist of Addison, her sister, Waneta Payne of Campbell and several nieces and nephews.

Thelma was preceded in death by her brother, Ralph Grist and her sister, Eunice Taylor.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 9 from noon to 3 PM at the H.P. Smith & Son, Inc. Funeral Home, 1607 Main St. Woodhull, NY where funeral and committal services will follow at 3:00 PM with Rev. Brian Diffenbacher officiating.

Burial will be in Woodhull Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Southern Tier Hospice & Palliative Care, 11751 E. Corning Road, Corning, NY 14830.

I am looking for the Windsor Co, VT area Coolidge parents of Elizabeth b. 1855 VT, Charles b. 1859 VT, Von b. 1861 WI, Ida b. 1869 WI. They were born in VT moved to Wisconcin then Minnesota with my Grover family. Elizabeth married Ferdinand Hawes b.1859 Wisc. His parents were also from VT. Info from 1880 MN Renville Co US Census. Israel P. Brewer was with them in WI & MN part of the time. They are cousins of Pres. Calvin Coolidge family but I'n trying to figure out the relationship clearly. Thanks.

I am doing the family tree for my FIL and we have run across Ida M Coolidge in our family. He was told from very young that he was related to Calvin Coolidge but I can find the connection. We know that Ida M Coolidge was born about 1870 in CT and had a brother Fred and sister Nellie. That is all the information that I have. Can anyone connect the dots?

I believe the person you're looking for is Thomas Buckingham Coolidge, son of Sidney and Mary Laura (Colt) Coolidge, b. 2 July 1901 in Concord, Mass., d. 6 Mar. 1990 in Cook County, Illinois.

He attended Concord High School and Milton Academy, then attended Harvard (A.B. 1923, M.D. 1927). He was Instructor in Biochemical Sciences at Harvard, 1930-1932; Tutor, 1930-1932.

BENJAMIN COOLIDGE's middle name was Bruce and he was born in 1804 in NY or MA.

CHARLOTTE VAN DUSEN was born in 1843 and died in 1918 in Ellenburgh, Clinton, NY.

JENNIE LIND COOLIDGE was b. 22 Aug 1872 and d. 24 Dec 1974 in Worcester, Worcester, MA; marrie on 12 Nov 1891..

I am searching for infomation re:

William Kirkham Coolidge b. 31 Jul 1875 in WI; d. 12 Dec 1921 and Edith Coolidge, b. 1872 and married Elias Low and moved to WA state before 1920. They were children of:

Martha S. and William Coolidge both of whom were born in NY: Martha b. 1835 and William b. Oct 1837.

Both of the parents of each were born in NH.

Would you have any clue of who may possibly be their parents?

John J. Coolidge's parents were Amos Coolidge and Pamela Kilbourn. His siblings are Charles, Amos Jr., D. Kilbourn, Aurilla H., Josiah, George, Pamela, Mary L., William Wesley, and Samuel A. am interested in any Kochersperger-related information from the Philadelphia area, I have that family's complete genealogy going back to 1664, but am looking for a link to the Philadelphian branch of the family, which hitherto has resulted only in confusing, if not conflicting information. I believe there was one single immigrant Kochersperger to Philadelphia and he is the patriarch of the vast number of namebearers that appeared as of the 1870's and onwards.
Any news and data (with sources please) would be welcome. I would provide all European data, which I have extensively documented on this family.
