Surnames: Coon, MacCoone
What I have:
John MacCoone b.1627 Aberdeen, Scotland died btw. 1710-1720 Cambridge, Mass. wife Sarah Ford of Aberdeen b.1635-1640? d.1669 in Cambridge.moved to US 1650s?
Son:John MacCoone (b6/14/1666 Cambridge d.6/22/1733 in Westerly R.I.) mar.Ann Larkin (b.1675 cambridge//d. 12/15/1732 in Westerly RI. Have 8 children:
John(1694); Daniel(1696);Rachel(1698),Mary (1700); Abigail (1702); william (1704); Joseph (1706) and Samuel (1708)-all born in Westerly, Wash. Co., R.I. Some time during 1700's some branches started using Coon, others stayed with MacCoone for a while.
does anyone have info before or during John I MacCoone in Scotland?
