My grandfather's name is Roscoe Cooter, whose father was Roscoe Cooter Sr., whose father was Joseph Cooter. Joseph Cooter was married to Eliza Norman I believe and lived in TN. Is there any connection to your side. I have always heard a story about 4 brothers coming from Germany. I think that is where the Cooter family started in the USA.
