LOST AN EYE AND EAR
Miami: Dr. A. M. Cooter, of this place, was shot and dangerously wounded, while out hunting with three others. Carl W. Travy of Topeka, fired at a bunch of quails and Dr. Cooter stepped in front of the gun and received the entire charge in the face. The lower part of his left ear is shot off and the sight of the left eye gone. The right eye may possibly be saved.
