According to his papers he was born Oct 30 1890 Kent, England (pretty vague eh!).
From his marriage certificate here in Canada in Aug 1913 his parents names were Charles Coppins and Mary Taylor. On his attestation papersfor WW1 he lists his previous military experience as 4 1/2 years Royal West Kents. His occupation is listed as a mechanical chaffeur.
