I'm looking for info on an Osa/Oza/Oga Corby (his name is transcribed all three ways depending on the source) who was born in Tennessee around 1873. I know for sure he had children named Madge, Dewey, Blaine, Johnny (or Johny), Albert, Lynn, and Samuel. It's possible he had another son, Oza Jr (Oza Jr. appears as an SSDI record as being born in TN in 1924, which is 5 years after the youngest known son, Samuel...so the timeframe fits, at least).

I have questions of motherhood of all these kids, too. I know there were at least two different mothers, Laura (Hammett or Hammit) and Sallie. It's not immediately clear which children are from which mother, except that Madge and Dewey are clearly Laura's.

I also do not know who Osa/Oza/Oga Sr.'s parents are, or when he died. Osa/Oza/Oga may have died in TN, or he may have died in SC (where Oza Jr. lived and died), or possibly somewhere else like CA (where several of his children lived and died).
