Hello, my name is Afrodita Corella and I’m living at Mexico. As I know, my grand-grand father come from Spain before 1900 (he was a little boy) to Mexico’s border. Now, we have relatives on Nogales, Hermosillo, Chihuahua and California.

That is some great information. The Moreno (Francisco) side of my family married into Corella (Dolores). I have been to the town with the same name in Spain, and per the local sexton, the family lived in the next town Tudela.

Hi Gregg,

You probably know plenty about the Corella’s by now. All of the Corella’s are related from Sonora, Mexico. A Corella (a conquistadore) traveled to Sonora from Spain and had 11 children. All Corella's in the U.S. come from these 11 children.

My husband is John Patrick Corella. I don't know if you and he are from the same line but the names listed here look like a match. However, if there is a relation that means that Ernest (he was the youngest) would be the unnamed sibling. Ernest is John Patrick’s Grandfather and his father is William. It must be the same family because John's father William had an uncle he called Pete.

My husband is John Patrick Corella, his Father is William and he has 2 brother William Jr. (as previously stated-hi William) and Theodore William. They also have a younger sister Veronica. I am interested in seeing your family tree as I too have been interested in my husbands history. I know that they came out of Arizona as well.

Rosabelle Corella..she just turned 100 in April ! I am trying to find anyone that may be related here....She was married to Ygnacio Martinez(b1897-d1985), (they had 2 boys & 1 girl; 1 boy 1 girl still living) then later to a man I only know as "mr scott".
Please email if this is familiar to anyone...I am so I dont know of any bro/sis......I have only heard that this family is somehow connected to Custer's soldier Benteen in the civil war days.....not sure how???

Hi, I know of a few Corellas in N. California. One in San Jose, another in Salinas, and one more in a small town two hours north of San Francisco. We have had two Corella reunions here in Arizona. We are all related since the family trees starts in 1705 with the brith of 11 children. At our reunion we had the top expert in Arizpe come and talk to us about the Corella history. In 1997, there was a Corella reunion in Hermosillo with over 300 Corellas in attendance! There also have been several books written on the Corella tree lines. I will be in San Jose on August 16th to meet with a few Corellas that I have never met. Also, I went to Corella, Spain last year! I learned a lot! Did you know the line started in 1097in Corella, Spain (NW Spain)?

Well, I see the Corella Board hasn't had any activity in a few years. Here's hoping we can generate some new interest.

My grandfather is William Lisandro Corella - from Los Angeles. He had 7 brothers and sisters: Joseph (Jose), Medardo (Pete), Deodore (D.D.), Orfalina (Lena), Edwardo (Babe), Rafaella (Fena) and one Unnamed sibling.

His parents (my great-great grandparents) are Jesus Corella and Ysobelle Botello.
