Hey Laura and Greg,

I have been trying to do some research about my father's side of the family and stumbled across this thread and a couple of others on ancestory.com (http://boards.ancestry.com/surnames.corman/9.20/mb.ashx) and another on genealogy.com (http://genforum.genealogy.com/corman/messages/87.html) regarding Nathan Laverne Corman.

My Grandfather, on my father's side is Nathan Laverne Corman. (My dad is Nate's oldest son)

From the little that my dad knows, Nathan was born on August 19, 1921 and died July 14,1987 in Colorado. My Grandmother's name was Geraldine Elvira Corman (maiden name Miller), born February 8,1926 and died in 1986 in Colorado.

The only other real solid information that I got from my dad was that his grandfather's name was Raymond W. Corman and his Grandmother's name was Mabel Caroline Smith, from Redwing Minnesota and Wisconsin respectively.

Do you have any more information about Nathan Laverne Corman and how all of these pieces fit together?

I'm descended through that same corman line through a daughter of george and sarah (Hannah). I've read recently that the Sarah Harrison who was the daughter of Benjamin Harrison and Anne Carter married a man named John Minge. Would be interested to see what information you have. Thanks

George Cormane was my husbands uncle. Maudie Mae Cormane was my motherin law and she was the oldest and George was the second oldest, if I recall correctly. Wow this is so crazy, I have been looking for my father and any siblings I may have. My name is Jennifer Cormane, when I was 8 I had my name changed to Patterson, I am now married with the last name Miller. I live in Edmond Oklahoma. I do not now much about my father other than his name is Paul Anthony Cormane and he has conections with Louisians. I am a direct descendant of Mollie B Corman and John B. Scott. One of their daughters, Agnes Lee Scott McKenzie is my great-grandmother. Agnes married John Hargus McKenzie and had 10 children. Their youngest and last surviving son is my great uncle (he's 85 years old). What kind of information would like on John and Mollie Corman Scott?

Parents of Sarah are Benjamin Harrison IV and Anne Carter of Berkeley Plantation on James River Virginia. Sarah and John George were married in 1758 in Frederick, MD at the Free German Evangelical Reformed Church. I have much more info if you need some.

Hello, my name is Roy Wilson Corman Jr and I was wondering since the name Roy Corman isn't a common name at all if by some means I'm related? Not sure if this comes off strange or not but I was simply doing some research online about my family history and searching for my family's crest, this post happen to come up in one of the listings. I have an Ida Corman born 1855 died 1919. She married John M Schwarder born 25 Aug 1852 died 13 Sept 1938. I understand they were married at Ida Corman's parents home. They resided in Kent County, Michigan. Both are buried in Lowell, MI at Merriman Cemetary.

Sorry, left pertinent dates off that previous post. Newton Corman born about 1849 in Jessamine Co., KY, died 14 Feb 1930 in Jefferson Co., KY hospital, buried in Franklin Co., Ky. Sons apparently lived in IN during 1900-1930 time frame.

Have you looked in the Corman Cemetary in Jessamine? I found alot of them here. I'm researching the family of cormans that moved from Jessamine to Ontario , Canada. George Harvey Corman, son of Carrie Hill and Lewis Corman, was born on a farm south of Tescott, Kansas, Nov. 6, 1884, and passed away at Ellsworth, Sept. 11, 1967 at the age of 82 years.
On April 26, 1911, he was united in marriage to Ida Edna Tucker at Culver, Kansas. He is survived by his wife, Edna, of the home in Beverly; two daughters, Ida Almedia Kelly of Belton, Missouri, and Lura Schroeder of Beverly; a son, Alvin Corman of Lawrence, Ks., four grandchildren, Jimmy, Danny, Shirley Kelley and Richard Schroeder; two brothers, Swinley Corman of Tescott and Glenn Corman of Casper, Wyoming; two sisters, Bessie Sewell of Minneapolis, Kansas and Lida Buck of Vista, Calif.; also several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services were conducted Sept. 13, 1967 at the Hall Chapel, the Rev. Leroy Smoot in charge. Burial was in the Beverly cemetery.

I don't if there is a relationship.I am told that there was a big fight among the Corman brothers and some moved to Boston (my line) and others to Philly. I just asked my husband what his fathers father's name would be. My husband was only around the age of 7 yrs old when his grandfather passed away. The father's name of Kenneth Corman is something like Woodrow or Woody. They lived in Williamsport, PA. Kenneth Corman should be approximately 58-59 yrs. old.
