Looking for info' on Annie h Cornelious. She married Ernest stanley Golding in 1947 in Mid esat Surrey England.
Thought that she may have been born in Scotland. Ernest stanley was born in 1898, but annie could have been much younger.

Widow of Former County Clerk Dies

Mrs Margaret H. Cornelious, 54 years old, widow
of a former county clerk, died Friday of heart disease
at her home, 1714 East Madison avenue. Her illness was
sudden and unexpected.

Mrs Cornelious had lived in Oklahoma City 29 years. Her
husband, M. Cornelious, an early county clerk, died
in 1930. Rev. W.Y. Durrett will conduct services from
the Hahn funeral home at 4pm Saturday. Burial will
be in Memorial Park cemetery.

She is survived by a son, Robert Cornelious, and a
sister, Mrs Mary L. Hooker, both of Oklahoma City.

RITES PLANNED FOR CORNELIOUS

Former County Official And Democrat Leader Dies After Illness

Funeral services for Maynard Cornelious, 53 years old, former
county official, will be conducted at 4 o'clock Monday afternoon
at the Hahn funeral home, 119 West Tenth street.

Cornelious died Saturday night following several weeks' illness
at his home, 2231 West Nineteenth street. Burial will be
in Memorial park.

Cornelious came to Oklahoma from Kentucky in 1901. He moved to
Oklahoma City from Mangum in 1902. He was elected register of
deeds in 1912, holding the office four years, until his
election as county clerk. After two years in this office, he
was with the internal revenue department of the United States
three years. Cornelious was county Democrat chairman in 1926.

His wife, a son, Robert, of the home address, a brother, Oren,
of Plant City, Fla., and three sisters, Mrs Curry Sloss of
Woodward, Ky., Mrs Sam Plowers, Russellville, Ky., and Mrs
Ermine Fort, of Fallon, Nev., survive.

POW/MIA Korean War, CORNELIOUS

I am searching for the family of a soldier who was killed in the Korea War. When he entered service he gave Caddo Parish, Louisiana as his home of record. His remains were never recovered.

Soldier: LLOYD E CORNELIOUS
Born: Jan. 6, 1930 Black
Date of loss: November 28, 1950, MIA

When the Korean War ended the enemy never returned or accounted for over 8,000 of our servicemen. They died in their hands. That was over 50 years ago. Since that time DNA has been perfected and also they are recovering remains in North Korea. Our government is obligated to return those remains to the proper family. DNA samples have been obtained from most of the families of these missing soldiers. For various reasons some families have not been located. The Cornelious family is one of those missing.

When the remains are recovered and identified they will be returned to the family for proper burial. I am just an old (76 years) Combat Veteran out of the Korean War and thankful that I did return. I consider this a very noble cause and I hope that you can help in some way to find this family. For more information on the project you may go to http://www.jpac.pacom.mil/. My part in the program is to match up the lost families with the proper agency.

I will be grateful for any assistance in locating this family.

Hiram (Harme) Harm E. Cornelious is listed on the 1920 census for Douglas Co., Mo. Washington Twp. as being 56 yrs. old.
He was born about 1864 in Indiana. He states his father (name unknown to me) as being born in Germany, and his mother (name unknown to me) as being born in England.
Hiram (various spellings thereof) married a Luci Hall. Very little is known by me about Luci. Hiram Cornelious and Luci Hall were married and had two children; being Homer Paul Cornelious, who was born 8-10-1892 in Illinois and died 4-3-1970 in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. My grandmother Grace Cornelious was born April 03, 1896 in Illinois and died March, 1981 in Mansfield, Mo.
Grandmother Grace Cornelious married Herb Wintjen and they raised their family in Douglas Co., Mo.
This is all of the data that I have on my Cornelious family.
Should any of these names tie in with your Cornelious family, please let me know. Cornelious can be found spelled many ways.

Michael "Korn" Cornelious, born April 19, 1982, died after a skateboarding accident on Wednesday, September 17, 2003. He is survived by his mother, Diana Cornelious; brother, Justin Cornelious; and father, Martin Tafoya. Michael "Korn" had a lot of friends and family who loved and will miss him. Services will be held at Montgomery Place Church of God, 3601 Montgomery NE, on Monday, September 22, 2003. Viewing and visitation will be from 8:00am to 10:00am. hi my grgrgr grandfather richard cornelious was born in kent in 1818,his father was christopher,richard married anne dunkley in flore northampton in 1840,they had 3sons christopher,1841charles1844and samuel1855,richard was in the rifle brigade.

hi alan i think the richard you mention is my grgrgr grandfather,when he was in the rifle brigade it was recorded he was sending moines home to a s.h.mutton.this was in 1855.

On 4th August 1857, Richard Cornelious and Sarah Harriet had a child,Elizabeth Anne Cornelious, in the Parish of Edinburgh.

Looking for information on Lovett Cornelious, Cornelius, Cornelous. He was listed in the Clay County, GA marriage book as Lovett Cornelous married to a Lillie Shaw - Jan 5, 1919.

A Lillie Cornelious died Oct 8, 1919 and "An Infant of Lovett Cornelious" died Oct 6, 1919 in Clay County, GA

Lovett was listed as Cornelius in the 1920 census for Clay County, GA as the head of household. Living with him was a Cely and Angus Stanley - listed as boarders.

Lovett Cornelious, Cornelous was not listed in the Georgia death index. There was two listings in the Georgia death index : died July 21, 1929 in Fulton County, GA and May 21, 1939 in Bulloch County, GA for Cornelius Lovett.
