MUSCATINE, Iowa - Millard H. Cornell, 87, of Muscatine, died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2008, at his home.
The Rev. Tom Parrott will officiate.
Burial will be at the Rock Island National Cemetery, with full military rites provided by the Moline American Legion.
Mr. Cornell was born March 8, 1920, in Rosiclare, Ill., the son of David and Rachel (Joiner) Cornell.
He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Army.
He was employed as a welder at John Deere and enjoyed hunting, fishing and being on the river.
He will be deeply missed by two sons, Edwin Cornell and wife, Elaine, of Rosehill, Kan., and Hershel W. Cornell of La Center, Ky.; two grandchildren, Robert Cornell and wife, Ruth, and Allison Stumpf and husband, Nick, both of Phoenix, Ariz.; a great-grandchild, Ethan Ayden Cornell; three sisters, Versie Delay, Margie Walker and Nora Baldwin; and three brothers, Wilburn Cornell, Archie Cornell and Garcie Cornell.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
