Hi:
We found wills of Cornings from 1548 and 1556 from Saundby, Nottinghamshire, England. Through the people that were mentioned in the wills, we were then able to trace the genealogy to Samuell. We have his christianing records from 1616. I have been to the church where the Cornings of the 2 wills were buried as well as the church where Samuell was baptized and I can say it was a very moving experience. Once Samuell arrived in Massachusetts the records are quite clear.
Now since I do not have you or your grandfather Glenn in my data base, I can not say if you are part of the main North American family descending from Samuell or not. Do you have any idea who Glenn's father was? Are you at all related to Howard McKinley Corning, the poet and author from Oregon? Any further information you may have, may tie up some loose ends here.
