Louis was my Great-Great Grandfather on my Dad's Mother's side. He was transferred to the 37th Illinois from the 76th Illinois. His name was misspelled from Corriveau to Caraveau by the enlistment officer of the Union Army. He was discharged in 1865 due to illness. He moved to Kansas after marrying a Caroline Gaudreau. I'm trying to find who Louis's parents were as well as Caroline's.

Born in Merrill, Wisconsin 1888. Father Swehea Charles & Clara G. Filiatreau She had a brother Leonard who was also born in Merrill 1890. The information I have is from Lincoln County, Wisconsin birth records which I personally went and looked up. This information is correct and spelled the way it was entered on the record. Family lore is that Mary Lynn was adopted out to a family possibly a Doctor in Chicago. We know that Swehea & Clara divorced and "Charles" and his son Leonard worked in the logging camps as cooks in the Star Lake, Wisconsin area. We are interested in any info about Mary Lynn....any help is appreciated!

Thanks,

Laura

hi there, I have a question about some Giroux's from the Quebec, My Great Grand Father was born 1888' ish, his name was Francis joseph Giroux, was married to Bridget O'Bannon, but apparently she died in a sanitarium form T.B., then he Married an Emma k. and with his first wife he had my grandmother Virginia Marie Giroux, and Possibly one of her brothers William Giroux. Then with his second wife had Francis Giroux, they all moved to Buffalo NY in 1927, I have attatched to my tree the 1930 census that they signed. But if you have come across any info regaurding this family that would be awsome. My "real" screen name is kevinvalentine3, this one is my brother in laws. thanks so much

----- Roslaie

napoleon corriveau and emily miner

I have been looking for the marriage record of Napoleon Corriveau, the son of Charles and Angelique Giasson. I know that he first married Marie Cyr (I don't know what ever happened to Marie or whether or not they ever had children) but Napoleon died in Sturbridge, Massachusetts in 1923. His obit said he was married to Emily Minor (she died in Syracuse, NY) and he left behind 9 daughters and 2 sons, one being Joseph, my great-grandfather. Does anyone have any knowledge of Napoleon's marriage to Emily Minor?

I just found a link with newspaper posting of her death in 1947. She was my great grandmother and my first playmate. Does anyone have more information as to this line into Sherbrooke, Quebec area. I do Know that Lumina, nee Champigny, married Cyprien Corriveau, her first cousin and they moved to Tyngsboro, MA and raised their family there. I grew up with their daughters, Cecilia, Eva, Carla and Leona. Uncle Peter died before I was born, as did, Cyprien Corriveau. Any help back to Quebec would be much appreciated.

Hi Valerie, Being the official genealogist of the Corriveau Family Association, I don't think that Marie-Josephe & Charles Bouchard had many descendants. Charles Jr had no children, Marie-Angélique had 3 children named Laflamme and Marie-Francoise had 8 children named Gourgue.
I would like you to tell me from witch one you descend and the link to you.
Thank you
Serge Corriveau
Montreal, Canada.

Bonjour Dicky,
Merci Frannie
