I am hoping someone has information regarding the Cortes family in the area of San Jose de la Tinaja in the mid to late 1800's -- grandfather is Agapito Cortes, b.20/Sept/1875, son of Rosalio Cortes Ma. Simona Vargas. On the Mormon website, I have found that Rosalio Cortes Simona Vargas were married 11/January/1862 in Zapotiltic. That is all I have been able to track down. There were certainly other children.

Does anyone know where San Jose de la Tinaja, Jalisco may have been? Unable to find it on a map.
