The Coss family in Schoharie County is somewhat hard to trace. I have the following individuals:

John Martin Coss=1. Martha Schell 2. Anne Eliza (mentioned in probate records as John Martin Coss's widow; I don't see how she and Martha could be the same person)

Children:

-Hubertus (Hooper) Coss=Mary/Nancy/Maria Hardy (one of my ancestors identified her as being a Hardy; also, Broderbund WFT has entries for a John Hubertus Cass, son of John Martin Cass and Martha Lena Schell, married to a Maria Hardy, so I tend to think this name is correct. Broderbund says they were married October 16, 1808)

-Polly Coss=Charles Waldruff

-John Coss

-Nelly Coss=William Merrit

-William Coss

-Henry Coss

-Peter Coss

-Betsey Coss=Jesse Cady

-Nancy Coss=David Waldruff

-Michael Coss
