MUSCATINE, Iowa - Barbara E. Costas, 58, Muscatine, died Sunday, Sept. 10, 2006, at her home.
Service will be at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services, 2907 Mulberry Ave. The Rev. Sharon Phillips will officiate. Casket bearers are Larry Chandler, Jerry Dean, Jason Costas, James Costas, Jay Gerels and Christopher Longhurst. Burial will be at Columbus City Cemetery.
Mrs. Costas was born May 25, 1948, the daughter of Claude Allen and Anna Marie Spier Dean. She married Leo Douglas Costas on June 25, 1966, in Muscatine.
She had been employed at Diamond Dave's. She was a member of the Eagles Lodge, Muscatine, and enjoyed, quilting, sewing and cooking.
Survivors include a son, Donald Eugene Costas of Muscatine; her mother, Anna Marie Dean of Muscatine; a brother, Leonard Gust Dean of Muscatine; and two sisters, Ethel Ann Snyder and husband Rolland of Muscatine and Pauline Wilma French of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her father; her husband; and one son in infancy.
